Suddenly, I was able to make far more meaningful decisions for myself and my life than before. But perhaps the most radical aspect of it all was: For the first time, I had the intuitive feeling of simply being who I truly am.

1) What is Mantrayoga?
Mantrayoga is the yoga path where we primarily practice with mantras to experience the unity of all existence. Yoga means unity or harmony. It describes the path to consciously perceive this cosmic unity and to implement it concretely in life. Thus, yoga is a practical way to find oneself and develop a sense of oneness.
In Mantrayoga, our primary tools are the mantras. Through them, we dive deeper into the vibration of the universe and experience its transformative power.
2) Mantrameditation
Mantrameditation is perhaps the oldest form of Mantrayoga. In this practice, we repeat a chosen mantra over and over – first aloud, then increasingly quietly, until we are merely reciting it in our minds. This repetition occurs in a recitative manner, so it is not singing.
Through this continuous recitation, we create the potential to fully immerse ourselves in the vibration of the mantra. Often, the feeling arises that the mantra repeats itself – deep within us and around us, woven into all being.

In this way, we connect our being – or rather our reality – with the essence of the mantra. This can lead to profound healing and harmonization. It also allows us to enter a transcendental space that connects us with the mysteries of existence. Deep insights become possible – even across different lives – and healing can occur immediately.
👉 Mantrameditation opens the space for universal and individual insights – and can bring about tangible changes in daily life, as we learn to make clearer and more healing decisions.
🙏 Mantrameditation especially influences our mind and our ability to think clearly, regardless of emotions.
3) Mantrasinging
Singing mantras is probably the most well-known form of Mantrayoga. In many spiritual traditions and circles worldwide, it is a popular practice. Through communal singing, we can feel the essence of a mantra, particularly intensely.
After intense mantrasinging, we may suddenly feel a new strength for certain actions in daily life. It may also feel as though we have gained a new emotional perspective. However, this depends strongly on various factors, such as which mantra we sing, what kind of person we are, and what is currently at play in our lives.
👉 Mantrasinging primarily influences our emotions and feelings – and, consequently, the thought and action patterns associated with those emotions.
🙏 Mantrasinging harmonizes our emotions and fosters inner balance.
4) Mantrayoga as Asana Practice
In Mantrayoga as Asana practice, the mantras are specifically tailored to the asanas being performed and the theme of the yoga session. Each asana has certain effects on the mental-emotional, energetic, and physical levels – just like the mantras. In a Mantrayoga class, therefore, all elements are coordinated so that they enhance and harmonize each other.

This form of Mantrayoga is still relatively rare and taught by only a few instructors. With my own work, I hope to contribute to making Mantrayoga as Asana practice more well-known. Based on my personal experiences, I am deeply convinced of the effectiveness of this method.
👉 Mantrayoga as Asana practice promotes, in the end, especially our intuition and the recognition of our true self. Surprising insights can emerge, and due to their intensity, they often bring a strong motivation to implement the insights in daily life. This can release a great deal of actionable energy!
🙏 This practice is often described as very intense and can lead to lasting, deep changes in life – especially with regular practice.
5) Conclusion: Which Mantrayoga is Right for Me?
Mantrayoga offers various practice options that can be more or less valuable depending on your personality and life situation – regardless of individual prior experience.
👉 I’ve already given you tips and hints above on how to figure out which form of Mantrayoga is best for you. And I want to emphasize here that this is, of course, not set in stone. 😘 Your Mantrayoga practice can change over the course of life. You can always adapt your practice to your current needs!
